One (1) part-time Culinary Arts Assistant needed at Chino Valley High School. This position is a paid student internship for four (4) hours per week with no benefits.

POSITION SUMMARY:
- This position involves supporting the Culinary Arts Instructor in maintaining sanitary and organized kitchen facilities with the purpose of creating a clean and safe instructional environment.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and personal protective equipment is utilized as necessary
- Wash, dry and fold culinary related laundry
- 3 sink-set up
- Cooking ingredient refills
- Ensure sanitary supplies are refilled (paper towels, hands soap, sanitizers)
- Support kitchen cleaning, organization & sanitary practices
- Mise en place for classes
- Ingredient and supply inventory
- Conducting instructions support tasks (photo copies, filing, photo copies, etc.)
- QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Must have Yavapai County Food Handlers Card
- Must have an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Continuously follows safety procedures & utilizes personal protective equipment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills; listening, following directions, and speaking
- Ability to lift 20 lbs. is required.
- EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Completed or enrolled in 2nd year of Culinary Arts program at CVHS.
- Experience following safety procedures.
